This Tuesday, Ukraine secured qualification for the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. The country is represented by alyona alyona and Jerry Heil, who are taking profit from this opportunity to raise funds to help children affected by the war in Ukraine.

The campaign through the United24 platform aims to raise funds to rebuild the Velykokostromska school in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast – which was destroyed by Russian invaders’ bombings. The goal is to help 250 children return to school, aiming to reach UAH 10,000,000 (approximately $254,403 and €237,000).

At the press conference after the qualification, Jerry Heil spoke about the initiative: “We raise the funds for an Ukrainian school which has been bombed by Russia and we want to rebuild it because we truly believe that rebuilding the past, you can truly build the future for Ukrainian children which will be rebuilding the country after this”.

The singer then shared some more details: “You can donate from $10 [about €10] and you can even win a meeting with us, with alyona alyona. We already have like a half of the amount we are raising. If you want to know more, just go to United24 and you’ll read the rest about that”.

alyona alyona added: “We have to unlock the future for children, because children are the future for all of us”.
