Image credits: EBU / Thomas Hanses Last year, Anxhela Peristeri defended Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) reaching the 21st place with the song Karma. Now, the singer admits to returning in the future… but for another country.
The artist confided in the RTV Ora show Night with Aulona that she would like to return to the ESC, but representing Geece: “I would represent Greece, I know the culture and I lived there. Even though my song [in ESC 2021] was orchestrated by a Greek composer, there were no conversations. But I would like [to represent Greece”.
Although Anxhela Peristeri was born in Albania, she lived for a few years in Greece, having distant ancestry in that country through her paternal side.
