Images credits: © SVT / Stina Stjernkvist The second heat of Melodifestivalen 2024 took place this Saturday in Gothenburg, with LIAMOO and Maria Sur advancing directly to the final. The competition selects Sweden’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
The six contestants performed, and in the first round of voting, LIAMOO was announced as the winner of the heat. The televote reopened among the other five participants to determine the remaining qualification.
It was then celebrated the induction of Kristian Luuk into the Melodifestivalen Hall of Fame, before the detailed results from second to sixth place were revealed, along with the scores by age groups. Maria Sur secured the second place and advances to the final. Dear Sara and Fröken Snusk move on to the Final Qualification round, a sort of second-chance round.
