Windows95man surprised, won the UMK and will represent Finland at Eurovision 2024

Surprise in Finland. The final of UMK took place this Saturday in Tampere, and Windows95man was the winner with the song No Rules. Thus, he will represent the country at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024.

There were seven participating songs. In addition to the competing artists, guests also took the stage, such as the Finnish representative at ESC in 1979 and 1993, Katri Helena. There was also a joint performance by last year’s winner, Käärika, and Erika Vikman, who performed the songs Ruoska and Cha Cha Cha.

Before Käärija and Erika Vikman’s performance, the results of the international jury vote (25%) were announced, with Sara Siipola leading with 70 points.

But the public had the final say, with 75% weight, and the show ended with the announcement of these results. Surprisingly, Windows95man was the most voted with 285 points. In total, he accumulated 313 points to win the UMK and will represent Finland at ESC 2024.
