The votes that would have been awarded by the juries to the Netherlands in the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 have been revealed. Joost Klein and the song Europapa would have accumulated 58 points.

Firstly, if you’re less familiar with the event, you might wonder how the juries voted for the Netherlands even though the country was disqualified from the final. That’s because on Friday night, when the show where the juries vote took place, the country was still in competition. What the organization did after the disqualification was readjust the results by excluding only the votes for the Netherlands.

The complete results were published on the official website of the competition. Although there are no direct references to the Netherlands after the disqualification, by looking at the ranking of each jury, it’s possible to understand where the Dutch participation would have placed.

Let us explain: in the details of the Luxembourg jury’s vote, for example, France is seen in third place with 10 points… a score that would have been awarded to the second-place finisher. This means that, before the disqualification, the Netherlands were in second place in that jury’s ranking.

Using this method, it can be concluded that the Netherlands would have got 58 points. Switzerland, which won the jury vote, finished above the Netherlands in all these votes (except its own), so the Dutch presence in the final would not have affected the Swiss score in the jury.
