Sophie Lennon will represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision 2022

The representative of Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) 2022 is found. Sophie Lennon won the Junior Eurovision Éire, the country’s national selection, this Sunday.

The public voted online to decide the results, among the three finalists: Sophie Lennon, Clare Keeley and Niamh Noad, who sang two covers of well known songs, but in Irish language.

The studio jury evaluated and commented on the performances, being composed of permanent members Chris Greene and Niamh Ní Chróinin and the guest Brian Kennedy (Irish representative at the Eurovision Song Conest 2006).

The victory went to Sophie Lennon, who sang Leave a Light On and Why Me?. The song for JESC 2022 will be released at a later date.
