Italy will remain in the Junior Eurovision Song ContestĀ (JESC) inĀ 2022, reinforcing its compromise: the event will now be broadcasted on RAI 1 after the poor audiences in the children’s channel RAI Gulp. The contest will take place on December 11 in Yerevan (Armenia).
According the website eurofestivalnews.com, Italy’s confirmation came this Tuesday, from Luca Milano, director of RAI Ragazi: āWe are satisfied with the work done these years by Rai Ragazzi, Rai Yoyo and Rai Play Kids, but it is time to look out and also the general public at this eventā.
Last Year, only around 15,000 people watched JESC at RAI Gulp, and now the Italian public broadcaster is wanting to taking the event to a wider audience. The selection method, which has always been internal, has not yet been announced.
