Lithuania achieved the 14th place in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024, but the grand final was not easy for its representative – Silvester Belt.
Performing immediately after Israel, he had some difficulties dealing with the fervor of the audience manifesting against the participation of that country. Silvester Belt wrote on social media:
– Going after that country, with the crowd being so intense, was one of the worst things I had to go through. I really did the best that I could in this situation… a traumatic experience, wish it all ended after the first semi-final”.
With the song Luktelk, Silvester Belt achieved the 14th position, helping Lithuania to make history: for the first time ever, the country managed to qualify for the final four times in a row.
