Image: Screen capture RAI 1 This Friday took place the covers night of the Sanremo Festival 2024, with Geolier being the most voted. The competition entitles the winner to represent Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
On this fourth night, almost all of the 30 participants invited other artists to sing covers of songs, some more or less well-known. Among the roster of guests were Aitana, Ermal Meta, Fabrizio Moro, Francesco Gabbani, or Umberto Tozzi.
In addition to these, there were also other notable guests who were not competing, such as Arisa, Jalisse (fourth-place finishers in ESC 1997), or the two-time MotoGP world champion Francesco Bagnaia. In the audience was Prince Albert II of Monaco.
The jury of the press (TV and online), the radio jury, and the audience voted, and at the end of the night, the top five of the show was announced. The victory went to. Geolier with Guè, Luchè and Gigi D’Alessio. Angelina Mango was second, Annalisa got the third place, Ghali was fourth and Alfa rounded out the top five.
Geolier had already led on the second night, so he gains favoritism in the fight for the overall victory. Tomorrow, before the start of the performances, the complete ranking up to that moment will be announced.
