As a bit of surprise, RTP revealed on Friday the running order for the semi-finals of the Festival da Canção 2024. The event, which selects Portugal’s representative for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), is set to begin in about two weeks.
Nena will be the first artist to perform in the 2024 edition, in the first semi-final, with Bispo closing the lineup. In the second semi-final, Buba Espinho will open the stage, while Silk Nobre will close the running order.
Each semifinal features ten participating songs, with six advancing to the final: five through a combination of public televoting and jury voting, and one solely through televoting in a second round of voting. The first semi-final will take place on February 24th, and the second semi-final on March 2nd. The grand final will be held on March 9th. All three shows will be held at RTP studios in Lisbon.
