The dates of Festival da Canção 2023 were revealed. The representative of Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) will be elected on March 11.

The country’s public radio station Antena 1 confirmed the dates this Wednesday: the semifinals will be on February 25 and March 4, while the grand final is scheduled for March 11 next year.

Just over a month before the first semifinal, the songs and the singers will be released on January 19. The authors were revealed this Wednesday, as you can read in this link.

After this year the format was condensed within one week, it returns to the previous format in three consecutive weekends. What doesn’t change is the location, according to Gonçalo Madaíl from the broadcaster RTP: for the third year in a row, the three shows will be held at RTP’s studio 1 in Lisbon. However, a new stage design is promised, after six editions with the same scenography.
