Croatia on top of the audience poll before the semi-final 1 of Eurovision 2024

Croatia was the audience favorite in the Evening Preview of the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. The show took place this Monday at the Malmö Arena and is identical in every aspect to the live semi-final.

The 15 participants took the stage in what used to be the Jury Show when until 2022 the jury also voted in the semi-finals. At the end, the audience was surveyed about their favorites, in an initiative by the website escxtra.com with ESC Insight, Euro Trip Podcast, That Eurovision Site, 12 Points USA and OGAE Sweden.

A total of 3,079 votes were recorded (2,765 excluding those from the Big 5 countries and Sweden). With 1,048 votes, Croatia finished first, with the song Rim Tim Tagi Dim by Baby Lasagna.

In second place, with 445 votes, was Ireland (Bambie Thug, Doomsday Blu“), which had been the most voted in the press poll earlier today. Finland closed the podium with Windows95man and the song No Rules! with 210 votes.

If this poll counted to determine the qualifiers, Slovenia, Serbia, Iceland, Moldova, and Azerbaijan would be left out of the grand final, between 11th and 15th place.
