According to a source from the newspaper Aftonbladet, the artist who represented Estonia in 2019 reaching the final will particapate for the third time in Melodifestivalen. In 2015 he was eliminated in the semifinals, while in 2020 he was ninth in the final.
Ida-Lova Lind is another artist who should participate according to the Swedish news outlet. This would be her debut at just 18 years old. Her first single, HallÄ vÀrlden kan du stanna?, was released this year.
Even younger is Maria Sur. She is only 17 years old and she had to leave Ukraine due to the war. She made her stage debut at the gala Hela Sverige skramlar för Ukraina and soon she signed a record deal. Last June, Maria Sur released her first single, That’s the way.
The names for Melodifestivalen 2023 that have been rumored in recent days do not end here. The duo Tennessee Tears (Jonas Hermansson and Tilda Feuk) may also be in the competition, as well as Elov & Beny, who are newcomers. As for Paul Rey, he is about to return to the contest after reaching the final in 2020 and 2021.
