There is already a release date for the Switzerland’s song for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023: It will be on March 7th.

Jean-Marc Richard, one of the commentators for the event at the broadcaster RTS, announced the date on the Facebook page Les Ă©chos de l’Eurosong. Once again, the selection of the artist and the song was an internal process.

After the submissions, 500 songs were selected and presented to the broadcasters RTS, RSI and SRF, which reduced the list to 50 options. These were presented to a public jury (50 percent) and an international jury of experts (50 percent).

The contestants were again shortlisted to six, with the same juries selecting two songs that were reworked before the final selection of the performer and the song that will represent Switzerland at ESC 2023.
