Image credits: EBU/Sarah Louise Bennett Kalush Orchestra wil perform during the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023. The band won last year’s edition for Ukraine with the song Stefania and it is traditional fort the winners to perform the following year.
Oleh Psiuk, the leador of Kalush Orchestra, confirmed the presence at the event in Liverpool after a visit to the European Parliament. The artist stated at a press conference quoted by the UNN agency:
– Yes, Eurovision will be held in the United Kingdom, but we hope very much that it will still taken into account and that there will be some Ukrainian identity. And I think it’s going to be a really good atmosphere for us there. I know that there will also be Ukrainians performing there. And, in fact, us. Therefore, we hope very much that everything is fine, and we hope that Ukraine will perform as in 2022, so that next year we will host Eurovision in Ukraine”.
