The first heat of Melodifestivalen 2024 takes place tonight, and after the rehearsals, Smash Into Pieces lead the audience’s preferences. This marks the start of the selection process in Sweden for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
OGAE Sweden conducted a survey among fans who attended the live rehearsals, gathering 1,140 votes. Smash Into Pieces emerged as the winners getting an overwhelming majority of 39.8% with the song Heroes Are Calling. Samir & Viktor came in second with 17.9%.
The top four was rounded out by the returning Lisa Ajax and Adam Woods, while at the bottom of the ranking in sixth place was Melina Borglowe with only 1.5%.
These are data to be read with some caution, considering the small sample size. However, it is essential to remember that in the semifinals, only the public’s televote will determine the results.
