Image: © LRT Lithuania will be represented by Silvester Belt at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 with the song Luktelk. The final of the national selection, Eurovizija.LT, took place this Saturday at the Švyturys Arena in Klaipėda.
There were ten finalists, with Aistè being the first taking the stage, while The Roop were the last to perform. In a first round, the jury and the public voted, each one with a weight of 50%. The classification between fourth and tenth places was revealed, while the top three was qualified for the Super Final but their scores weren’t revealed: Shower, Silvester Belt and The Roop.
In the Super Final, the results were the decided solely by the public. Silverster Belt’s win, with the song Luktelk, was overwhelming: he got 16.688 votes, more than Shower and The Roop together (who came second and third, respectively). Thus, Silvester Belt will represent Lithuania at ESC 2024.
In addition to the participants, also performed as guests the last year’s winner, Monika Linkytė, the Latvian representative in this year’s edition, Dons, and Mango.
