Image: Screen capture RÚV This Saturday marked the beginning of Söngvakeppnin 2024, Iceland’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). ANITA and VÆB were chosen as finalists.
Five contestants participated in a show held in Reykjavik. The public voted to determine the results. At the end of the semi~-final, only the qualifiers, ANITA and VÆB, were announced.
The remaining three participants are not definitively eliminated yet, as the broadcaster RÚV has the right to award a wildcard to one of the semifinalists who did not directly qualify.
