Image: Screen capture RÚV The running order in the final of Söngvakeppnin 2024 is now defined, as well as the artists’ language choices. The event will select Iceland’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
The rules require that all songs be sung in Icelandic in the semi-finals, with language choice being free for the final – and then binding for the ESC. Of the five finalists, only VÆB remained in Icelandic, with the other four songs in English versions.
As for the running order, it will be opened by VÆB, while Sigga Ózk will be the last to perform. It should be noted that the five finalists go through a first round of performances with 50% of the vote from the international jury and 50% from the public televoting to select two qualifiers for the Super Final. There, the public votes again to decide the winner, accumulating with the previous phase.
