Queens of Roses and the The Roop complete the final of the Lithuania’s selection for Eurovision 2024

The lineup of participants for the Eurovizija.LT 2024 final is now complete. This Saturday, the fifth and final semifinal of Lithuania’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) was broadcast, with Queens of Roses and The Roop qualifying.

Eight more contestants performed. Freya Alley was the first to take the stage, while Lina Štalytė closed the competitive performances.

The results were decided, in equal parts of 50%, by the jury and the public. The Roop, with the song Simple Joy, topped both votes and scored the maximum of 24 points. As for Queens of Roses, they came in second with 17 points: just two more than Lina Štalytė.

It’s worth noting that The Roop has already won Lithuania’s selection twice in 2020 and 2021. After the ESC was canceled in the first year due to the pandemic, the band made it to Eurovision in 2021, finishing in eighth place.
