Image credits: EBU / Corinne Cumming New details emerged about the Unser Lied Für Liverpool, the Germany’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023… with songs already selected for the next stage.
On the podcast ESC Update, it was said that the pre-selection process will consist of three stages. In the first one, which has already taken place, the jury appointed by the broadcaster ARD listened to the approximately 600 candidate songs on December 9 and selected the best ones.
In the next stage, these songs will be presented to a international panels of experts, who must formulate their individual opinion on each song as a basis for the decision. In the third stage, the ARD editorial team will chose the songs for the live final: eventually seven, plus the winner of the contest on TikTok.
