Natalia Barbu will represent Moldova at Eurovision again after 17 years

Natalia Barbu will represent Moldova at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. This marks the singer’s second appearance in the competition, after previously participating in 2007. She will perform the song In The Middle.

The studios of the TRM broadcaster in Chișinău hosted the final of the Etapa Națională 2024 this Saturday. There were 11 participants, with Nicoleta Sava being the first to take the stage, and Iulia Teleucă closing the performances. In addition to the contestants, the band Holograf also performed.

The results were decided, equally split at 50 percent, by both a jury and the audience. The jury awarded 60 points to Natalia Barbu, which were converted to 12 points. As for the audience, it gave their 12 points to Valeria Pasha.

In the final tally, both artists ended up tied with 22 points. The jury’s vote served as a tiebreaker, and thus, Natalia Barbu was declared the winner and will represent Moldova at ESC 2024 with the song In The Middle.
