Image: Screen capture RAI 1 Marco Mengoni confirmed that he will represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023. The artist won the Sanremo Festival yesterday with the song Due vite and will return to the ESC ten years after his first participation.
A few weeks ago, Marco Mengoni had already mentioned to the newspaper La Stampa that he would like to compete at the ESC if he won Sanremo. This Sunday, during the usual final press conference, the singer announced that he agrees to participate in the international event.
However, during the show Domenica In on RAI 1, Marco Mengoni addmited that he could change the song: “I don’t kwow, it’s too early. I’m thinking about that. First I would like to go back in the studio with the musicians and move forward with the record. So if something new ever comes out…”.
