Malta competes at Eurovision 2024 with Sarah Bonnici and the song ‘Loop’

Malta chose Sarah Bonnici and the song Loop for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. The country’s final, the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, took place this Saturday.

There were 12 participants, with Miriana Conte being the first to perform. The parade of contestant songs was then concluded by Lisa Gauci. During the voting and before the results, two guests have performed: Yulan (Malta’s representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2023) and The Busker, last year’s winners.

Then, the winners of the Best newcomer award (Lisa Gauci) and Best music video, Topic (Bla Bla) by Greta Tude were announced.

As in previous years, the results were determined by the combination of jury (78%) votes and public (22%) votes through televoting. Both were unanimous preferring Sarah Bonnici and her song Loop, which with a score of 102 points grabbed the victory and will represent Malta at ESC 2024.
