Unsurprisingly, Loreen won the Melodifestivalen 2023 and, thus, will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) with the song Tattoo.

Widely seen as the big favorite, the singer was the tenth of the 12 finalists to take the stage this Saturday at the Friends Arena in Stockholm. In addition to the contestants, there were also guest performers: Nina Inhammar & Kim Kärnfalk; and Danny Saucedo, who was inducted into the Hall of Fame.

The public and the international jury (featuring eight countries) voted, and each component had a weight of 50 percent in the results. Loreen was the clear favorite in both votes (getting 92 points out of 96 of the jury) and won the Melodifestivalen, representing Sweden at ESC for the second time, 11 years later.
