Image source: Facebook Ladaniva The duo Ladaniva was announced this Saturday as the representative of Armenia at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024. The song has not been released yet.
The broadcaster AMPTV made an internal selection as has been the case in recent years. Ladaniva consists of Jaklin Baghdasaryan and Louis Thomas. According to the official ESC website, their music blends Armenian folk with influences from global music, featuring Balkan melodies, jazz, and reggae in their repertoire.
The song, whose title is not yet known, will be released in the coming days. Hovhanness Movsisyan, executive director of AMPTV, stated: “Ladaniva will bring their colourful and contagious energy to Eurovision. Being both a musical and artistic ethnic mix, Armenia’s entry is going to inspire cultural bridges”.
