Katarina Savić, representative of Serbia, will not perform at Junior Eurovision for health reasons

Katarina Savić will not perform in the live show of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) 2022, scheduled for this Sunday. Instead, the recording of the jury show will be used.

An official statement explains that, due to not specified medical reasons, Katarina Savić will not be able to perform. The artist represents Serbia with the song Svet Bez Granica.

The press releease reads: “We are really sad to announce that, for medical reasons, Katarina Savić from Serbia will not perform in the live broadcast of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2022 on Sunday 11 December The health and well-being of all participants is always our top priority and we share Katarina and the whole Serbian team’s disappointment that she is unable to perform. A recording of her performance from the 2nd Dress Rehearsal on Saturday 10 December will be used in the show instead and viewers will still be able to vote for Katarina and her song. The whole Junior Eurovision family send Katarina their love and best wishes and hope she is well again soon”.

Yesterday was Freya Skye, from the United Kingdom, who was not able to perform for medical reasons during the jury show. The recording of the first dress rehearsal was used instead.
