Just like Alessandra from Norway, the artist has decided to backtrack and refuses to announce the votes of the Finnish jury. Käärijä wrote on social media: “I have decided not to participate as the spokesperson for the Finnish jury in tonight’s Eurovision final. Giving out the points tonight does not feel right”.
The exclusion of the Netherlands due to the incident involving their representative Joost Klein, as well as the controversial participation of Israel while the country is in conflict with Palestine, have negatively marked these last days of ESC 2024.
Last Thursday, Käärijä performed as a guest in the second semifinal, participating in a number with the song Cha Cha Cha that earned him second place last year.
