The broadcaster AVROTROS, as well as Nikkie de Jager, have decided not to announce the points of the Dutch jury in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024.

This morning, Joost Klein was disqualified after an alleged violent gesture that is under police investigation, meaning there is no Dutch participation.

Thus, the responsible public broadcaster AVROTROS and Nikkie de Jager, who had been appointed as spokesperson, made a decision: “Now that AVROTROS is no longer part of the Eurovision Song Contest final, we do not feel called upon to deliver the points live. Like Nikkie, we imagined this night very differently”.

As this is an unprecedented situation, it is not clear what procedure to follow when it comes to announcing the points of the Dutch jury. The likelihood is that the function will be assumed by the Executive Supervisor, Martin Österdahl.
