On Monday, the first dress rehearsal for the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 took place at the Malmö Arena, and the press voted in the usual press poll. Ireland was the most voted, while Portugal placed fourth.

The initiative is promoted by the website escxtra.com. With a total of 53 points, Bambie Thug and the song Doomsday Blue from Ireland led this poll. In second place were the representatives of Ukraine, alyona alyona & Jerry Heil, who scored 45 points with Teresa & Maria.

The podium was closed by Croatia (Baby Lasagna, Rim Tim Tagi Dim), gathering 31 points. Portugal followed with 26 points attributed to iolanda and the song Grito. The top five was closed by Lithuania (Silvester Belt, Luktelk).

According to the press poll, Slovenia, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Poland, and Moldova would be out of the qualifiers, ending between the 11th and 15th positions in that order.
