The event selects the representative of Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC), which takes place in the same country in May. The jury will account for 50% of the results, with the other 50% determined by the public.
There are eight countries represented on the international jury of Melodifestivalen, including Serbia, which returns to this position 14 years later. It is worth remembering that there are 12 contestants in the final of the event.
