Images credits: © Julia Marie Naglestad / NRK The Melodi Grand Prix 2024 kicked off this Saturday with the first semifinal. Three finalists for Norway’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) have already been determined.
Six contestants performed live in the studios of the NRK broadcaster in Oslo, in a show hosted by Fredrik Solvang and Marion Ravn. Mathilde SPZ feat. Chris Archer & Slam Dunk were the first on stage, while Margaret Berger was the last to perform.
The audience voted through a dedicated app, and in the end, the qualifiers were announced: Gothminister, Ingrid Jasmin and Margaret Berger, the latter retaining her chances to return to the ESC after 11 years.
