Full results of Festival da Canção 2023 revealed

This Monday, the full results of Festival da Canção 2023 were revealed. Last Saturday, the event selected Mimicat and the song Ai Coração to represent Portugal at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).

Cláudia Pascoal won the first semi-final, in which Esse Povo secured an automatic place in the final after problems with the televoting lines in their song. Neon Soho took the last spot, awarded only by the public, with a clear 55.58 percent of the votes.

In the second semi-final Edmundo Inácio won, with the same points as Voodoo Marmalade (the tiebreaker was made by the jury vote). Dapunksportif, Ivandro and Teresinha Landeiro were tied on points, with the highest score from the jury determining that Ivandro was the fifth qualifier. The public elected Dapunksportif in the second round with 26.83 percent of the votes.

The detailed results of the final were already known, but RTP has now also released the percentages of the public vote. Mimcat got 12 points from the public thanks to 19.33 percent of the votes – against 12.24 percent for Edmundo Inácio, who came in second in that voting. Both artists finished with the same points at the top of the jury voting.
