Despite France’s victory, it will be Spain that hosts the Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) 2024, and there is no shortage of interested cities. Specifically, there are five.

According to the newspaper El Confidencial Digital, Barcelona, Granada, MƔlaga, Valencia, and Zaragoza have formally submitted their candidacies. None of them have hosted Eurovision events in the past.

The country’s public broadcaster, RTVE, is now meeting with the teams from each city to better understand their specific proposals. They are also collaborating with various production companies.

After hosting the JESC twice in the last three years, France has waived its right to host the event in 2024, thus Spain, which came in second last year, is moving forward with the hosting duties.
