Picture credits: © EBU / Sarah Louise Bennett The detailed results of Italy’s televote in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 have been officially revealed – including the percentages of votes for each song.
As a Big 5 country, Italy only voted in the final and the second semi-final. In both cases, the public chose to award 12 points to Israel and the song Hurricane by Eden Golan. In the semi-final, there were 36.01 percent of the votes, while in the final, it was 26.02 percent.
Israel’s victory in the Italian public vote was significant in the semi-final, with over 26 percent ahead of the Netherlands. In the final, the margin was less than five percent compared to Ukraine.
It’s worth mentioning that one of the minor controversies of this ESC was the inadvertent announcement of partial results of Italy’s televote at the end of RAI 2’s broadcast in the second semifinal.
