Detailed results of Portugal’s selection for Eurovision 2024 revealed

The detailed results of the Festival da Canção 2024 have been revealed. Portugal’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) concluded last Saturday in a final won by iolanda with the song Grito.

The first semi-final was won by the final winner with 22 points, against 18 for Perpétua… who were the big surprise, getting the 12 points from the televote. The last qualifiers in the first round were João Borsch and Rita Rocha, with 14 points… four more than Noble, who finished sixth. Thus, they advanced to the second round, where only the televote counted, and there he secured the sixth spot in the final with an overwhelming 47.45% of the votes.

As for the second semi-final, Leo Middea scored the most points: 17, while No Maka feat. Ana Maria came in second with 15 points – 12 of them from the public vote. Cristina Clara finished fifth tied with Maria João but advanced due to having more votes from the jury. In the second round, there was a close race: Rita Onofre secured qualification with 23.72% of the votes, only 2.02% more than João Couto. Filipa was out of the running with only 12.08%.

Regarding the final, the only details that have just been revealed are the percentages of the televote. João Borsch, who received 12 points from the public, had 17% of the votes, while iolanda had 10 points and 16.29% of the votes. The singer and her song Grito ended up as the winners with 22 points in total from the jury and public votes. In second place, João Borsch got 18 points: the same as Leo Middea, but with the advantage of being more popular with the public.
