Image credits: Alma Bengtsson/SVT The first heat of the Melodifestivalen 2023 takes place this Saturday. The show marks the start of another edition of Sweden’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).
There will be seven competitors taking the stage and they have already rehearsed in Gothenburg. The broadcaster SVT released 30-second clips from these rehearsals, which are now available to watch.
It should be noted that each semi-final of the Melodifestivalen will qualify two participants directly for the final and another two for the fifth semi-final, which is like a second chance round.
