The ten candidate songs to represent Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023 can now be listened. Once again, Söngvakeppnin is the national selection of that Nordic country.
This Saturday, the Icelandic broadcaster RÚV released the songs and revealed their allocation in the semi-finals. Almost all participants have two versions: one in Icelandic language (mandatory for the semi-finals) and another one in English (optional for the final and for the ESC). Only Langi Seli og Skuggarnir opted for Icelandic only.
Söngvakeppnin’s semi-finals are scheduled for February 18th and 25th, while the final will be on March 4th. Tickets will go on sale from February 1st on tix.is.
