Blanco reacted to the controversy of the first night of the Sanremo Festival 2023, acknowledging that he did not react in the best way to the technical problems he suffered.

When he had no sound of his voice in the in-ear, the representative of Italy in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2022 stopped singing and destroyed the flowers that were part of his scenography. The attitude earned him boos from the audience.

This Wednesday, on social media, Blanco published a letter addresed to Teatro Ariston (where the Sanremo Festival takes place) in an apology. It can be read:

– Flowers are falling, Ariston. Flowers bloom, Ariston. The curtain falls, Ariston. I brought you to tears like my mother, Ariston. You saw me as fragile as a child and right here, where you taught me to run, I fell. I broke my face and cried, Ariston. But then… I laugh, laugh, laugh, because I’m not as perfect as you want me to be. But after all I am myself, I love you Ariston. With all my madness”.
