Peter van der Veire, commentator of the contest in that country, shared the confirmation with the website songfestival.be. VRT alternates the duties of the Belgian participation with RTBF.
Last year, it was VRT participating, achieving the seventh position with the song Because of You by Gustaph. It was the first top ten since Blanche’s fourth place in 2017. However, this year, Belgium, with RTBF, failed to qualify presenting the song Before the Party’s Over by Mustii.
