According to the website wiwibloggs.com, the date was revealed in an email from the broadcaster SBS to promote sponsorship opportunities. The quoted message reads:
– In 2024 SBS is proud to broadcast the event which this year is taking place in Malmö, Sweden. We also celebrate 50 years since ABBA took to the Eurovision Stage with Waterloo, taking home the win for Sweden. Australia has once again been invited to send a representative to compete in the contest. Stay tuned to hear who will be representing us on Wednesday 6th March”.
