Image credits: Corinne Cumming / EBU The grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023 took place yesterday at the Liverpool Arena. The show featured much more than the 26 competing performances.
Last year’s winners, Kalush Orchestra, performed at the opening, while the flag parade featured four former Ukrainian representatives who also marked the history of the ESC.
There were two interval acts: Sam Ryder, runner-up in 2022, presented a new song; and the segment Liverpool Songbook, which featured seven former ESC contestants.
