The participants and songs for the Festival da Canção 2024 were revealed this Thursday. The event selects Portugal’s representative at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC).

Each semifinal will have ten contestants, of which six qualify for the final: five through a combination of jury and public votes via 50/50 televoting, and a sixth chosen by the audience from the remaining contestants in a second round of voting.

The semifinals are scheduled for February 24 and March 2, while the grand final will take place on March 9.

The vast majority of the invited and selected authors chose to be the performers of their respective songs. Listen to it below.
