Image: Screen capture RAI 1 This Tuesday, Blanco debuted his new single (L’ISola delle Rose) live at Sanremo Festival 2023. However, the performance was far from ending in the best way.
The artist, who represented Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2022, faced technical problems with the in-ear sound and, in an apparent act of frustration, he completly destroyed the flowers that were part of the staging.
Blanco was intensely booed by the audience and he was offered the possibility of repeating the performance later – which ended up not happening. Amadeus, the main host, claimed during the show that there were no conditions for this.
The moment that Blanco starred in went viral on social media, with several memes quickly appearing.
