After dropping several hints in recent days, the broadcaster Yle has finally unveiled the participants in UMK 2024. The event serves as Finland’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) and will take place on February 10 in Tampere.

There are seven songs in the competition. The chosen participants were announced this Wednesday, and the first of the seven songs was also released: Dancing With Demons by the returning Cyan Kicks.

Other participants include Mikael Gabriel x nublu, Jesse Markin, Sara Siipola, Sexmane, Sini Sabotage, and Windows95man. The songs will be released daily until January 19 (Finnish time, January 18, CET t ime), except on weekends.

The seven finalists were selected by a jury led by Tapio Hakanen, director of music at YleX, from among 419 submissions. The jury consisted of eight other members.

  • Jesse Markin: Glow – Song released on January 16th (CET time, January 15th)
  • Windows95man: No Rules – Song released on January 17th (CET time, January 16th)
  • Sini Sabotage: Kuori mua – Song released on January 18th (CET time, January 17th)
  • Mikael Gabriel x nublu: Vox Populi – Song released on January 19th (CET time, January 18th)
