Two participating songs were disqualified from Moldova’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023 – a Etapa Naţională.
The broacaster TRM announced the disqualification of NÖRDIKA’s song Squeeze Paradise because it had been released online… on February 8th, 2012. ESC rules stipulate that songs cannot have been publicly released before September 1st, 2022.
As for Massimo Sinceri and DA-MUSE, the duo was disqualified because it doesn’t complies with Etapa Naţională’s rule stating that at least 50 per cent of the artists in a group must have Moldovan citizenship.
With these disqualifications, the live auditions on January 28th will feature 31 competing songs.
