Image credits: EBU/Andres Putting The Eurovision chapter for The Roop isn’t closed. The band will compete in Lithuania’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2024 – the brand new Eurovizija.LT.
The group that represented the country in 2021 and was selected for the canceled 2020 edition revealed on social media: “We decided to participate in the National Eurovision selection! We have accumulated experience to carry the Lithuanian flag even further to the world and we have a song. You will hear it already in January”.
Submissions for Eurovizija.LT are open until December 11th, and at least 20 songs will be selected. Four or five semifinals will take place before the grand final. The Roop finished in eighth place in ESC 2021, Lithuania’s second-best result ever.
