Teya & Salena are the representatives of Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023. The song will be released on March 8th (International Women’s Day), but according to the broadcaster ORF will be a uptempo pop song.
The formal announcement took place this morning on the Hitradio Ö3. Once again, the broadcaster ORF opted for an internal selection, although this year it involved fan clubs from several countries and a jury of Austrian and international experts.
Teya is 22 years old and Salena is 24 years old, having met each other two years ago when they participated in Starmania. Teya started in music at the age of 12 and she not only sings, but also dances, acts and performed as a saxophonist in a jazz orchestra. Also a songwriter, Teya tried before to represent Austria and Serbia at ESC.
As for Salena, she started her musical path at just seven years old and in addition to sing, she also plays the guitar. She has already applied to represent Austria at ESC in 2019, and has television experience with her participation in The Voice of Germany in 2017.
