One day before the grand final of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) 2023, it was announced this morning that Luxembourg will return to the event as early as next year.
It has been 30 years since the Grand Duchy last participated. Public broadcaster, RTL Luxembourg, has now announced that it will return in 2024. In July it will reveal more details about applications for the selection process of its representative.
ESC Executive Supervisor Martin Österdahl said: “We are thrilled to welcome back Luxembourg to the Eurovision Song Contest after 30 years. The country has one of the most successful records in the Contest with 5 wins in the first three decades of the competition alone. We very much look forward to working with RTL on their return to the world’s biggest live music event in 2024”.
