The announcement will take place at 19h30 (CET time), with the release on the official YouTube of the event. This year, the broadcaster SBS opted for an internal selection.
Since it became known that this would be the method, a number of artists publicly expressed their interest in representing Australia at ESC. One of them was Dami Im, who in 2016 led the country to the best result so far, being runner-up.
